Hi, I’m Carly Jones, Chair of Governors. I’ve been a Governor for over 5 years and Chair since 2021. I work for Leeds City Council in HR. I have worked with communities in a professional or voluntary capacity since university, where I studied Law.

I am a mother of 3 and adore spending time with my family- which includes our dogs, cats and chickens. We love walking, baking, crafts and movie time together. I am passionate about nature and enjoy gardening, yoga and art.

I joined both Enhance academies trust and Featherstone All Saints in April 2023, having taken my first step into headship.

I have worked in a number of primary schools over my career in teaching in different areas of Wakefield and Leeds, with some of my career being a valuable experience working in Alternative Provision.

I am passionate about ensuring the best possible outcomes for all pupils and will work closely with the local academy board, leaders, teachers, parents and pupils, to ensure that happens.

I am Assistant Headteacher at St Michael's in Wakefield, which is also part of Enhance Academy Trust. In addition to teaching Year 1 I also lead on Early English and Phonics.
Prior to this role I taught and lead at two other trust schools, St Helen's and Diamond Wood. I was also a staff governor at the latter.
Before Enhance I taught across various KS2 settings for ten years. It's a great privilege to be on the LAB for Featherstone All Saints, helping to shape and drive the school and community forward.

My name is Eve Jenkins and I have worked at All Saints for 26 years. I joined the nursery team as a nursery nursed and stayed in this position for 10 years. I was made nursery manager, which I loved.

In 2008, it was decided that a teacher needed to be in place in the nursery and I had to step down. But this spurred me on to take all my exams again and do my teacher training. It was a long hard road but I did it and love my job so much.

I have been a governor for about 5 years at this amazing school and have found it all very interesting.

I have 2 grown up boys, James and Matthew, who are both married and have given us 3 Grandchildren, who are the light of mine and my husband Gary’s life.

My interests are my grandchildren, music, dancing, clothes shopping and eating out. I also like to stay active and walk often.

Hi, my name is Mrs Saxton. I am a teacher at another school in our Trust (St Helen’s Primary School in Hemsworth). I work in EYFS and love playing outside with the children, I can often be found having fun in the water area!

I have two grown-up children of my own. Matthew is at University and Mollie has just finished her A Levels and hoping to go to University in September. In our free time we love to go to Center Parcs and places which are not too busy … I don’t really like loud and busy places. Mr Saxton always has the job of driving us as I don’t like driving to places I don’t know!

I am a new Governor this year and I’m looking forward to meeting more of you in school.

Hi, I’m Linsey and volunteer as a parent governor to support this lovely school community.
I joined in early 2021, and at the time I worked with a marketing agency that partnered with schools and Trusts - getting to know their aims, ambitions and challenges - to create campaigns and resources to deliver better outcomes within their community. I have over 20 years’ experience within the financial services, education and charity sector but being a parent governor has given me the opportunity to learn new skills, be involved and influence the direction of the school, but ultimately it’s been an honour to witness the dedication and passion from all the staff at All Saints.
I have one daughter who attends All Saints, and she absolutely loves her school. As a family we love to create arts and crafts, take lots of walks in the park opposite our home and regularly visit our favourite beach at Filey.

My name is Hayley Millward. I have worked in education as a Teacher for 13 years. My experience is working across EYFS and KS1. I have worked across the Wakefield district for over 10 years and I am currently working in Barnsley.

I have been part of the governing body at All Saints for 4 years and It is an honour to be part of this amazing school, driving standards forwards.

In 2020, I opened Featherstone Uniform Bank which helps parents to provide school uniform for their children, with the cost of living rising in recent years, this service has been crucial in our area. Every Christmas we offer a service to provide presents to the children in the Featherstone district, which has been a great success.

I have two boys that attend All Saints who I adore.

I am a daughter of a miner and have lived in Featherstone all my life. I am very passionate about my roots.

As a Featherstone girl, I am proud to be a member of the governing body, giving back to my community.
